Expulsion of Indian Scientists:
Gross Insult to the Nation

In a press statement issued on July 25, CPI(ML) severely condemned the expulsion of Indian scientists by USA in order to compel Indian government to sign on the CTBT and the NPT while calling it utterly unjust, inhuman and a ploy to bully Third World countries. As the entire network of US growth banks on exploitation of Third World as well as on the efforts of scientists and workers immigrated from the latter, throwing them out of job in the name of severing relations in the field of science is a grossly inhuman act. And Indian government is no less guilty for it. Notwithstanding the praises showered after Pokhran-II, BJP government has not provided adequate research facilities to guarantee their best participation in country's development. Nor has the Indian government shown any concern at the insult by taking any counter-action against the USA.
